I literally just had the most fun weekend ever!!!
So i went to Vegas.... and no it's not what you think. Didn't have a single drink, go to a club or a bar. That doesn't seem fun anyway.
I had the time of my life hanging out with my co host of Taylor Talk Adam and letting me stay at his place!. :)

I drove in on saturday and we decided to walk the strip. my brother was also in vegas, was hoping to meet up with him for lunch or dinner... but poor communication so it didn't happen. Anyway we went to the mall and got some food then we walked around the strip for awhile. It was really cold. We started making our video blog and were going in and out of different hotels on the hunt for T2. of course Taylor being the thing that brought us together, we make references to her as well, although I knew she wouldn't be attending the awards. There was nothing ever announced that she would and no travel tweets or mention of the upcoming show. Even if she were coming my focus this weekend was Thompson Square aka T2. I just love them so much
For those who don't know. They are a country Duo married 12 years now. Shawna and Keifer Thompson. :) They are seriously the sweetest people and they have a great sense of humor as well. :)

when we got home we watched the first episode of smallville. its only the greatest show ever!!! then we went to the movies since i could get us in free. :) I finally got to see footloose and I was so excited to see claire callaway (taylor swift's back up dancer) in the movie :) fangirl moment for sure!!

After that we went and grabbed dinner at Red Robin and started planning out the weekend. Sunday Adam had wine tasting class and he dropped me off at the MGM which is where the ACAs would be held the next day. So i found the grand garden arena and asked the worker there about when we would be allowed in the next day and about the red carpet. he said it was closed to public. :( sad face! so i pretty much just hung around. grabbed a bagel and coffee from starbucks and then Adam met up with me after his class was over... drunk might I add lol. So we got some McDonalds and as we were done eating I notice a guy sitting at a table across the room by himself eating. He was wearing keifers signature hat and I was just like "that looks like Keifer."
now Adam he isn't really into a lot of country music and all. He supports my Love of T2 but doesn't keep up with them or anything, he doesn't really know what he looks like for sure, but he was just like no, it's not. I kept looking and saying that really looks like Keifer. and Adam is over here like He's not going to just be sitting in the food court eating by himself" and I'm just like "well maybe he had a craving." then thinking "where's shawna?" then I would know for sure! you can't mistake pure beauty when it's right in front of you :) haha and Adam's like i'm sure he gets free meals from the ACAs."
So anyway I didn't want to just like go up to him... idk haha so we did like the whole lets go throw away our trash and walk around and get a better look type thing. Adam said keifer was looking at us... and I was thinking he's probably wondering what we are doing. lol so Adam kept saying do you want me to go up and ask? and i'm just like yes... no ... and i'm over there taking out my cd cover and showing it to Adam and being like doesn't it look like him.
then Keifer got up to throw away his trash and I'm just like "hi" and he's like "he---heyyy" lol and we start talking and I asked where shawna was and he said she was laying down, not feeling well and I was just sad :( aww cuz I love her <3 and I asked keifer is he thought i was crazy haha and if shawna did and he said no to both... well like i get these crazy thoughts in my head sometimes... like oh i tweet them too much they are going to think i'm crazy. anyway then I saw a tweet from them earlier that made my day. it was replying to a mean comment about them and Shawna tweets "in the words of my girl tay tay why you gotta be so mean?" so i asked him if they really actually liked taylor and if shawna did. and he said yes. and i said because Derek (their merchandise guy) hates her. and Keifer said Derek has a lot of hate. haha I asked keifer if he remembered my name and he said "yes, Jencita, haven't seen you in awhile." and I replied "I know cuz i missed your show." ;( (there was 6 hours of traffic and i got there after they had already finished!! i was so depressed!!) So i had him sign a cd (that i am currently giving away if you follow my fan account for them @T2fanatics) and also i had him sign my CMA book by his picture. I was really hoping to see shawna too so i could get her to sign. I asked keifer what they were all up to later and he said they weren't leaving the hotel. that they would be at the bars tonight. I told Keifer I wasn't hanging out there all day hoping to run into them. and he's like you were or weren't." lol Adam talked to him a little about Hard Rock Cafe in vegas, we want to book them there in the future b/c adam's sister's husband or boyfriend or something is the ceo of that booking stuff for them. So Keifer gave us the name of their booking company. So we each took a picture with Keifer... Adam got to take one first?! say what?! lol and we said our goodbyes and maybe see you laters. lol

So how crazy was that?!! we totally made a video blog right after about how crazy it was running into Keifer in the food court. and yes Facebook and twitter were both updated immediately. :)
who would of thunk we would just run into Keifer at the food court!! its so great he can eat at a food court and virtually not be bothered (ha sorry) but idk if i were a singer or actor and still starting out i think it would be cool to have someone come up and recognize me and say nice things about you. builds you up :) someday he's not going to be able to just go down to the foodcourt because he was craving a hotdog! yup he told us he was! lol

So we went back to the house and recorded our 5th episode of Taylor Talk with our other co hosts. after that we went and got pizza and breadsticks and our dr peppers and we watched Once Upon A time b/c i love that show!! haha then after we went back to MGM in search of T2... does that make me a stalker?! haha he did say that's where they would be.. i felt like it was more of an invitation right? lol
so we get there and as soon as we arrive. Adam's like bar... so we started to walk around it and I'm thinking ok they are not going to be at this bar right by the entrance. We keep walking and Its so dark in there. It's hard to see and I see a pretty brunette, ok looks like shawna, look around at the table trying to spot Keifer, no hat. and then Adam actually says found em. And I'm like ok it is them. Keifer had his hair all done up. Adam said he actually spotted them b/c he like couldn't take his eyes off Shawna. haha she's so pretty :) So they were with other people and we didn't want to just like go up to them... idk that's weird right? haha
So we were sorta just hanging out by the slot machines until they finished.. it seemed like the crazy thing to do... but definitely made me feel slightly stalkerish... at least i was respecting their privacy right? haha so when they were done they walked out and then i said "shanwa!" and she turned around and was like "heyyyy!!" and excited to see me :) we got to chat for a good 10 minutes or so. It was so awesome. i don't remember everything but I'll relay what I do and it might not be in the order it happened lol
I told her about running into Keifer earlier and she said that he had told her :) and I said i hoped she was feeling better. I asked if she could sign my cd cuz i was giving it away to one of my followers and she said she had seen that on twitter and she thanked me for it. No THANK YOU for being amazing!!! and then i had her sign my cma book too :) I was talking to her about the tweets too and saying how I loved the Taylor one. and she told me that she had gone into the girls profile and seen that she was a big taylor fan and so she said that. She told me the reason she tweets people who say mean things is to try and get new fans b/c sometimes they feel bad and end up saying they actually do like their music... and then i was saying yah like about the girl earlier that day who was saying shawna's hair was trashy and then after shawna tweeted her she said that their song was their wedding song or something. but i had tweeted her too b/c her hair isn't even like that anymore! keep up people! and then i told Shawna that I liked her blonde hair but that I liked her hair how she has it not even more. that it makes her look even more beautiful b/c it highlights her face. and she thanked me sweetly. I love her voice! not just her singing voice, but just the sound of her talking voice. it's so sweet and soothing :) she's going to be a great mom someday! :)
I told her about the video blog we had been making of the trip. Not expecting to really actually see them, just hoping to and how we were going around being like T2? T2? we're in T1 where's T2? lol she laughed. I told her she could watch it when it's finished if she wanted lol
She was also asking me when I got here and what we did so far this weekend. Like really small talk like that is awesome! I couldn't even remember what day I came in!! haha I was just rambling on asking Adam like what did we do? haha
oh and one of the people they were with asked my name and I got all nervous and I was just like "Jennifer" and shawna and keifer looked confused and Shawna was like"wait, what's Jencita then?" and I explained that Jencita means little Jen in spanish and that she can call me that. :)
ahhh stupid me!! haha getting nervous! lol
It was awesome just to have a real down to earth convo with her without trying to fangirl too much! :) I told her about our Taylor Talk podcast and asked if she heard of Charlie Worsham. She hadn't but me and Adam were telling her how he opened for Taylor and he was on the podcast and how we've only had it a month and had (x) amount of downloads and been downloaded in 120 countries. and she seemed shocked and asked twice during the convo how long we had been doing it. but we told her if they ever want to come on they can. we will promote their music! it probably won't happen but maybe could interview them if we book them for the hard rock in the future! :)
So i had girl talk with Shawna and told her how much I love Taylor but dont' always relate to her music b/c i've never been through a break up and me and my bf have been together for 2.5 years and I was like "not him" about Adam lol and i told her that's why their music means a lot and that i really admire her and keifer's marriage and everything. and she was very gracious :)
So we also mentioned about booking them at the hard rock and then Adam got the contact info to get in touch with the guy directly who handles it! so hopefully next summer or something they can come out! :) that would be amazing!! :) we could see if Charlie can open :) So i think keifer was wanting to go eat! ha I felt bad. but it was so nice of them to let us talk and catch up. Keifer was like did you say we were going to take a picture... i think that's guy cue for come on i want to go now. hahaha SORRY KEIFER! AND THANK YOU!!!

I had gotten a picture with Shawna. :) two actually and it's the only thing I wanted! i mean i was thinking about going into a meet and greet or something and you know how they only allow you to take one picture. well since i already have 2 with them i wanted one with just shawna and i would of asked. hopefully keifer wouldn't of been offended b/c i heart him mucho!!! but its a girl thing!! haha I also told Shawna how kristin Chenoweth (who was hosting the ACAs) tweeted me the other day and shawna said she loves her on glee!

So then i took one with both of them and then Adam did too.

oh yah and i had told Shawna that he had never listened to them! and Shawna was like oh so he's the one! cuz a friend had tweeted me earlier saying that I had to make him listen b/c he's still never heard one of their songs. haha Shawna knows everything that happens on twitter.
and that's why people you dont have to like beg them for something. and as much as they'd like to it's impossible to follow everyone. i dont even follow people back on my personal account unless they win won of my twitter contests b/c it spams up my timeline. and I definitely thank T2 for following me b/c God knows i tweet like 200 times a day. lol (no i'm not exaggerating, yes sometimes it is more_
Shawna was wearing these cute leopard shoes and oh yah i had told her that keifer was looking Snazzy and she was like oh Keifer u hear, ur looking sassy. and i'm just thinking oh no... lol sassy is a girly thing... snazzy!
so it was great and then we said our goodbyes and I gave Keifer a high five then i gave shawna a hug and she's like "oh I get a hug? I want a high five too" and i gave her one lol and I wished them good luck at the ACAs and said i would be their dancing and they asked if I was on the floor and said they'd look for me.
I wonder if they saw me?! :)
I tweeted Kristin Chenoweth again that night and said shawna from thompsonsquare says she loves you and she tweeted back WHAT???? thompsonsquare needs to win a grammy they're the best!!
omg I can't believe she said that!! what an amazing compliment!!

So it was definitely the perfect day!! so amazing :) cloud 9 for sure!!!!!
The next day was award day. I stayed up way to late and we arrived at 330pm and saw the red carpet going on and there were fans and stuff so we went over. now i'm sad we didn't go earlier and get a good spot and we could of met some people. T2 was walking the red carpet and we got some pics! Kristin Chenoweth came over and signed but I didn't get a picture or signature :( so sad! she was looking sassy for sure in her dress! lol

So we stayed out there til it ended and then went inside. We were getting instructions on where to go to our seats and then these ladies were like "is it just you two?" and we said yes... side note... i was originally going alone. Adam was suppose to work today but they called and said he didn't have to. so he literally bought his tickets just a few hours in advance and we weren't even sitting together.... so then these two ladies said they had 2 extra floor seats free and they were just going to give them to someone!! OMG!! FLOOR!!! we were freaking out!!! they were section A like right behind some of the stars! it was sooo awesome!!! :) I saw Scotty McCreery and I went over and the security i think had just told some people no pictures as I asked him if he would take one. and he kind of looked at the security and said real quick before they see. So that was cooL!!

Its so cool b/c you're allowed to take pictures and stuff! I wasn't allowed to at people's choice awards I know when i went a couple years ago. so i was so excited. we could be on our phones and I was tweeting! our seats were great!!

I heard the guy behind and to my left say thompson square. and i'm like "what?!!" and i couldn't hear what he was saying he kept trying to repeat but i wasn't catching it. but then he said they just sat down. and then he said that he's shawna's brother!! and I'm like no way I love them and I showed him the picture of me and T2. how crazy i was sitting by her brother!! So the show got started and I saw Scott Borchetta who is the founder of Big Machine Records which is big for me b/c he found and signed Taylor Swift :) So I went and got a picture with him! the first one was blurry but the 2nd one turned out. and Adam got a picture too!

Then it was announced they won best song for a group/duo and also for 2 other awards and then they started performing and I was major fangirling. hahaha I was scared someone was gonna tell me to sit down! lol but i had some glow bracelets and I was the only person standing up and i was jumping and dancing and singing. they didn't record me hahaha but i hope T2 saw!! I was trying to make up for missing their last concert and oh i was having a blast!!

such a blast in fact that my Taylor Swift bracelet apparently flung off in the middle of my dancing. A kind older man behind me was like "is this yours?" and had my bracelet. I hadn't even noticed it was missing and it's my favorite bracelet so i'm thankful someone found it!! and he said that he was trying to get pictures but couldn't b/c my arms were all over the place and said "you must really like my son and daughter in law." wait back up??!?! Keifers parents were right behind me!!!! how crazy is that?! how does that happen that we get free tickets and end up right in front of T2 family!!! then the guy right behind me gave me my ticket and my CMA book... then a lil bit later Keifer's dad says to me "i hate to even ask, but is this your purse." omg i started cracking up hahahaha and he's like "are you coming unglued?" lol So during a commercial we took a picture with Keifer's parents, and his sister was there too! and we became the first fans to get a picture with her. she's like "you want a picture with me? i'm just his sister" and Adam told her people are going to know who she is now lol

Turns out the guy behind me handing me stuff was Westin Davis who co wrote Let's Fight and If it takes all night!! He said he's written more with them on their next album and one in particular is like really really good. :) so exciting! so we took a picture with him too

and got one with Shawna's brother and his wife!

We met the whole gang i practically feel like family. They can invite us over for christmas dinner! lol
we told Keifer's dad we'd send pics their way so hopefully Shawna and keifer can pass them along :)

I looked up what other awards they got online and Read them to Shawna's brother. then later he was asking what network i was using to look them up. lol it was just so exciting!!! I didn't take pictures or video during their performance cuz i was fangirling. but i did record their acceptance speech :)
